in New York
The Clean Energy Programs of New York currently offer rebates for solar electric systems. Sea Bright Solar will file all the paperwork for you. We will explain just how the rebate works.
Businesses are not only eligible for state rebates but also federal tax benefits, such as a 30 percent tax investment credit and depreciation benefits. Residential customers are also eligible for a $2000 federal tax credit.
Solar Rebates and Incentives include:
0% sales tax: Solar electric systems are sales-tax exempt.
State rebate: The state rebate covers much of the installation cost, and includes many of the state utility companies in Long Island, the 5 boroughs and Upstate.
Federal tax credits: Homeowners can receive a $2,000 federal tax credit. Businesses can receive a 30% federal tax credit, up to allowable amounts, plus depreciation.
Business Incentives: A business owner can also qualify for a valuable loan interest buy-down of 6.5 percent.
